Great conformation in a
horse
starts with the bone structure. The same can be said of a
horse
barn, but instead of bones, your barn has posts and beams and rafters
to carry and transfer applied loads. This fact is no more
apparent then in a timber frame barn where the timbers are purposely
left uncovered for all to see and appreciate. Often, one must
enter the timber frame home or barn before distiguishing it's style of
construction from the standard stick built structure. But
this
barn shows off it's true timber frame both on the outside and the
inside. And as with most contemporary timber framed structures, all of
the second floor exterior walls and roof consist of
structural insulated
panels. Additional videos are provided below to illustrate
this barns impressive timber framing.
The stable level consists of 4 stalls, a wide center
aisle, a large Tack Room with stairs to the second level, a
Laundry/Powder Room, a Wash Stall and a Grain Room. With
nearly
1800 square feet, the living quarters above includes three bedrooms,
two baths, and the Kitchen, Diningroom and Livingroom in a open floor
plan arrangement. Additional features include a large walk in
closet in the Master Bedroom, upstairs Laundry Closet, a see through
gas
log fireplace, an office area, vaulted ceilings and covered
exterior deck.
